Solideck steel deck is selected for Ningbo City Exhibition Hall

Recently, Solideck undertook the supply of composite steel decking and related technical services of Ningbo City Exhibition Hall.

The new urban exhibition hall is located in the new city in the east of Ningbo, with an overall building scale of 55000m² and a total of five floors. The design inspiration of the overall shape of the building comes from the ribbon dance gradually rising in the Han Dynasty. The structure and skin are intertwined like ribbons. Starting from the ground plane, the building is wrapped around and up, giving the streamline shape of the building like a dragon.

Corrugate steel decking

The corrugated steel decking used in the project is SD 65-555 with a thickness of 0.9mm. SD 65-555 is the most popular closed deck type in China,and has a large later bearing capacity,delivering best in class load capacity and spanning widths of up to 3.3 m unsupported.The reason why Solideck can stand out among many manufacturers is that it has the advantage of high cost performance. Solideck’s technical expertise, especially the reputation of the completed projects in Ningbo East New City and the price strategy of low and medium prices, prompted the construction party to adopt Solideck．

Due to the unique shape of the building itself, the design of the corrugate steel decking shop drawing is relatively complex.
