Status of the M&G project

M&G project is located in Corpus Christi, Texas in the United States, it’s the world’s largest PET device. We provide floor deck for two operating platform “PR25” and “PR26”, which use our steel floor decking of rib 2”and thickness 1.0 mm,deck type SD 51-915.

The constructor of M&G project is a Japanese company Morimatsu (china), we were introduced to Morimatsu by another steel floor deck supplier, as most Chinese metal deck companies are only familiar with calculation and production based on local specification, and know nothing about internation requirements. While it’s what Solideck can do better than others.

One structure engineer of Morimatsu (China) firstly contact us and made inquiry, and then we had deeply discussion on many key technical points concerning M&G project, especially on security calculations based on USA standard. He raised many detailed problems on construction based on the design drawing, we proposed our solutions. He was satisfied, as we are quite professional and moreover, we know USA and UK technical standard.

After the first meeting, Solideck submitted the initial plan, including security SD 51-915 calculation based on USA standard. But the designer made several changes on drawing in the following two months, we also made relevant adjustments. As the two platform need to be send to USA, we considered all the possible problems caused by long transportation during our project design and improvement.

Finally, after strict checking, Morimatsu (China) confirmed our plan and sign the contact. Then we arranged production promptly and sent the metal deck on time. During the assembling and packing, we give Morimatsu (China) all possible technical support, till the two platform had been well packed and sent out. Morimatsu (China) is very satisfied with Solideck due to our excellent technical ability and attentive services, they approved Solideck as their qualified steel floor decking supplier.
