Fixing of steel deck SD53-600

SD53-600 steel deck is widely used in engineering, such as in BRAC University, the Air Corridor of Avenida Kimaras, Taipa, Macao. During the SD53-600 construction process, the construction staff will ask How to fix the SD53-600 steel deck?

(1) At least one spot welding shall be conducted on the large and small beams passing through the steel deck at each trough，Solder spot diameter is 6mm;

(2) The overlapping length of steel deck edge plate and pour stop on the steel beam shall meet the requirements of design specifications，The lap length is not less than 50mm. Considering the error factor, Solideck recommends that the lap length is not less than 80 mm.

(3) In order to ensure the safety of the steel deck and pour stop,the spot welding spacing of steel deck and pour stop overlapped laterally on the steel beam shall not be greater than 500 mm;

(4) The steel deck are connected and fixed with self tapping screws，the specification and length of self-tapping screws shall be purchased according to the drawing requirements.
