Introduction of M&G Project

The PR25/PR26 project in the United States is the largest PET/PAT project in the world, and the owner is M&G Group, an American PET giant headquartered in Tortona, Italy. PR25/PR26 are the two offshore oil production platforms of this project, all prefabricated buildings, and the entire structure is transported as a whole. The quantity of steel floor decking is about 4000m², and the classic SD51-915 steel decking is selected.

Difficulty of PR25/PR26 project

Solideck’s work

After making the commitment to Morison, Mr. Roy, the founder of Solideck, personally studied the drawings of the PR25/PR26 project and then organized the steel floor decking calculations according to the U.S. specifications. In order to communicate with the customer in a more harmonious way, Mr. Roy sent the relevant U.S. specifications to Mr. Yong. Due to the many openings in the floor slabs of the project, the whole shop drawings were completed after more than two months’ hard work, and were also recognized by Morison and the American side. In addition, Solideck put forward its own suggestions for the reinforcement of the openings to avoid corrosion during the sea transportation.

SD51-915 steel decking is selected for the project, with a thickness of 1.2mm and a galvanizing amount of 275g/m²．In 2015,Solideck lived up to expectations and successfully completed the task.
